We’ve won the digital engineering and technology award at the prestigious Insider Made in Yorkshire Awards.
Managing director Mark Cook was presented with the award at a ceremony held at Hilton City Hotel in Leeds and the evening was attended by hundreds of the region’s business leaders.
The digital engineering and technology award recognises the company that has best used or developed software, technology or technical processes to solve problems or add value for customers.
Commenting on the awards win, Mark Cook said: “It’s greatly rewarding to have our market-leading engineering operation recognised with this award and is testament to all the hard work from everyone at Sewtec. Our business is built and operates on innovation, so we’re delighted to have won this award.”
Judges found Sewtec to be the “most forward-looking company” in the region and said that we differentiated ourselves in producing bespoke automation work for clients all over the world, including Nestle, Mars, Unilever, Abbott Diabetes Care and Procter & Gamble.
The achievement is a testament to the hard work the entire Sewtec team contributes to meeting the objectives of our clients and our business. To celebrate our collaborative efforts, our design engineer, John McGowan attended the ceremony as part of our delegation, getting his hands on the trophy that all our people have worked so hard to achieve.
Our success at the Made In Yorkshire Awards marks the third significant win for the Sewtec in last six months, after being named exporter of the year at the Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Awards and best UK pharmaceutical robotics and automation specialist in the GHP Manufacturing and Packaging Awards.
