Senior project manager
Sewtec is seeking an experienced senior project manager to oversee the successful execution of all tasks across our complete bespoke automation solutions service, and support organic and strategic business growth.
From capturing customer requirements and liaising with clients, to working with the wider team to ensure deadlines are met, you’ll lead on every aspect of our precision engineering projects. You’ll ensure the necessary preparations and phase planning has been initiated to enable the completion of deliverables. Efficiencies are at the heart of our operation, and as senior project manager, your task will be to track and monitor the progress of our team and workloads, in terms of time, cost and quality.
Leading our project team in identifying reliable solutions for technical issues to assure customer satisfaction will be high on your to-do list. You’ll also be tasked with the overall project management of issues, risks and project change requests, and the forecasting of resource demand and participation levels on the work we’re undertaking.
Managing budgets – both in cost to complete (CTC) and final costs at completion (FCAC) – and sharing the financial data with the project director will also be under your remit. You’ll also prepare proposals and estimates for costs and prices on our projects.
With previous employment in a senior project manager at a similar organisation, you’ll have a competent understanding of general engineering and automation solutions and be well-versed in both the mechanical and electrical aspects of precision engineering.
Leadership qualities are a must for this senior project manager in precision engineering role. You’ll need to efficiently and effectively manage a team working across complex multiple disciplines, aid the progression of those working under your stewardship through coaching and educating them, as well as set team and individual KPIs to develop all of our people. This client-facing role means you’ll need to be a good communicator, both passing information onto our customers and relaying feedback to the team.
At Sewtec, we want people who embody the ethos of our culture. You’ll be happy to roll up your sleeves and get stuck into helping innovate and improve projects we are working on. In an environment where no two bespoke automation solutions are the same, you’ll have the initiative and confidence to challenge thought processes and implement your ideas to benefit our clients.
