Mechanical Fitter

Sewtec is looking for a new mechanical fitter to join our growing bespoke automation team.

Purpose of the role

Reporting to the Production Director, the successful candidate will play a key role in installing machinery on site for our customers. You will be required to work in partnership with the customer and their technical team throughout the project, ensuring all standards of quality and safety are met to the highest level.

It is essential that you are able to read and interpret engineer assembly drawings to assemble machine parts and machines. You will be confident in all technical aspects of mechanical engineering and have experience working on projects with tight timescales.

As our new mechanical fitter, you will install machinery on customer premises and will need to adhere to customer specific site requirements and processes, as well as complying with the company health and safety policies and procedures. You may also be required to visit customer sites in other countries, so a willingness to travel worldwide is key.

Our ideal new team member will have good communication skills and be confident in a customer facing role. You will also be required to operate hand tools and lifting equipment, therefore experience of working in a multi-skilled environment is essential.
