Track and trace/Serialisation

Sewtec has developed numerous systems to apply coding onto products during production, which stays with the product throughout the logistics phase, bringing efficiency to track and trace and serialisation through connecting machine automation with factory business systems.

Unique identifier codes.

Unique identifier codes – generated by a Sewtec system or an externally interfaced system – are applied to every product during the various stages of packaging, ensuring they can be traced at any point whether in primary packaging or on a pallet.

The codes are applied using laser, inkjet or “print and apply” technology, verified by vision systems, and finally validated and authenticated before allowing the product onto the next stage of packaging; or, non-authentication triggers an alert for product rejection.

KPI reports on the lines’ efficiencies are available to the wider business via .XML file.
