1982

Sewtec begins developing special purpose machinery for the global automotive market

1984

Sewtec sells its first automation system to a global FMCG brand in the confectionery market

1990

Sewtec sells its first industrial robotics system

1995

Rapid company growth sees Sewtec export products to five continents

1999

Sewtec enters the tobacco market

2003

Sewtec sells its first automation system into the pharmaceuticals industry

2005

Sewtec develops a track and trace system, which is first applied to tobacco packaging and labelling

2007

Sewtec enters the medical devices and pet care markets

2017

Private equity firm, Endless, completes the management buyout of Sewtec

2019

Sewtec is awarded EcoVadis gold CSR rating

The number of employees at Sewtec surpasses 100

Sewtec completes move to multi-million pound 75,000 sq ft design and manufacturing facility in Wakefield, West Yorkshire
