Sewtec’s Director of Business Support Takes Part in Business Breakfast Event
20 October 2022Last week, our Business Support Director Mark Atkins attended Huddersfield Giant's Business Breakfast Event to provide his expertise on 'Attracting & Developing the Right Talent'.
Hosted on 13th October, Huddersfield Giants teamed up with Huddersfield Business School and The University of Huddersfield to invite an array of speakers to their Business Breakfast Event.
Focussed on the topic of ‘Attracting & Developing the Right Talent’, the event explored the importance of attracting the right employees in today’s current labour market and highlighted the various techniques that can be utilised to ensure staff retention in the modern era.
Mark Atkins, Sewtec’s Director of Business Support, was honoured when he was asked to share his many years of knowledge in attraction and retention within an SME, and how he’s helped build the team we have today at Sewtec.
“It truly was a fantastic event, made even better by great hosts. I really enjoyed sharing the stage with Huddersfield Giants’ Kirsten Jackson and Huddersfield Business School’s Dr. Nicola Stenberg to hear their perspectives,” said Mark. “There was some thought-provoking discussion to be had afterwards, giving everyone a good opportunity to network and make new connections.”
